How cold does it usually get from September to the end of December in San Diego, California (SO CAL Area)?
Degreeswise, how cold does it usually get. I'm going to school there, so I want to know what to expect especially in December.

Actually, that's usually a pretty warm time of year. It will drop some from September to December, but you're still looking at an average daily high temperature of around 75 degrees in San Diego (cooler in the mornings, sometimes as low as the 40's). However, once December rolls around, you're also looking at the possibility of rain, so make sure you have wet-weather gear.

now, sept is warm -- wear shorts but eves are getting cooler. in november/december you may be "breathing steam" in the morning, but afternoons will warm up -- then chilly evenings.... thxgiving you can usually sit outside w/ teeshirts/shorts in the sunny afternoon & go boogie boarding after turkey.... i can't remember when it last rained hard in december...usually feb/march if at all... & hopefully it will rain a lot this yr!!!

From now through about early November it'll still be pretty pleasant.... high 60's to mid-70's. By Christmas, it will usually start to drop to about the high 50's to low 60's...although I remember more than one Christmas spent in shorts poolside!!

I have lived here all my life but, it is not affordable. If you really search you can find a bargain. The closer to the beach the more expensive. I live near the beach. It is a beautiful city, the people are laid back and friendly. Great nightlife and restaurants and new ball park downtown. Good luck!

I would say central San Diego is pretty affordable but some of the places there are not the best places to live at. If you want something affordable and nice I would say La Mesa. It has great rental prices for the kind of apartments and it is located in a area where everything is reachable.

North county, coastal. http://www.mgproperties.com/apartment_homes/north_county/northcountycoastal.htm

<<I'm thinking about living there...is it a good place to go?>> Nah, we got too many transplants here already, stay where you are.

East county is cheaper but even low-end condos can go for $200K. SD County has the most over-priced housing market in the country according to Forbes magazine. The weather here is obviously great. Warm beaches but a very cold ocean. Now as far as things like transportation go, it sucks I-5 has bumper to bumper traffic at all hours of the day.. A recent text book on urban planning described SD county as being an example of a total failure by local government to manage growth. Sure seems that way....

What kind of jobs can I get in San Diego, California?
I'm 19yrs old. I have a high school diploma and currently attend University of Texas at Austin and will be living in San Diego for the 2010 summer. I was hoping for something where I can be outdoors and/or moving around a lot. Any ideas?

It's really hard to find jobs in SD. Maybe if you apply early and are lucky you can get a job in a restaurant with a patio. Some people might hire gardeners too.

Sea World is almost a given. You go there.. sign up for your choice... As long as u get there w/in GOOD TIME... You will get the job. Call them and ask when they are doing the next Job Fair (or whenever it will be closest to when you need) It would be the perfect fit based on your description. (They are also totally aware that people will just be working there for the summer and they're fine w/ it) i KNOW! Too good to be true? lol. But nope! A ton of my friends did this. Noone heard of anyone that didn't make the cut.
