UCSD is a competitive school. But it seems like you are in the house with your grades and your activities.

It's becoming increasingly hard to get into UCSD. After Berkeley and UCLA, SD got more applications than any other UC. Your grades are pretty good, especially considering your difficult course load. But your extra-curriculars could use some work. Try to take on some leadership roles in the clubs you belong to. . . or at the very least, be an active member rather than someone who just shows up for meetings so you can put it on your transcript. And why wait till next year to start that club? Volunteering would also look good, but don't do these things just for your college application. . . do them because you want to be an active member of the world and explore all that is out there to explore. Your SAT scores will also play a large role in your admissions decision. Good luck!
